Visitors

We had some visitors today!

Rachael (Judah's school speech therapists) - She came over to get some home data from us & played with all 3 of the kids in the play room (to get a language sample on Judah). She said the language sample at school is more sounds & much less words. He said, "Hi Thomas!" clearly, speaking for one of his trains that he was holding facing Thomas. Rachael's jaw dropped. His 6 month review is very soon.

Cami- She came over to get data from us on Judah, very basic stuff. We will start the massages soon. She will come back in 6 months to get more data from us - to see how he has changed after 6 months of massage. We'll see her in another 6 months after that. It's a research study. Judah saw her for a few minutes, he clearly & quickly identified cookie, bird, ball and baby on one page. He just wanted to get done & get back outside to Papa. The next page he knew all 3 of the objects & how to say them, but he just pointed to each one & made a sound. I'm positive he feels like a guinea pig when we do stuff like this. Interestingly enough, he usually shows much progress when people test him like this. I won't speculate on why that is.. there could be many reasons.

Papa watched the kids while Cami was here. He brought over Sebastian's bike from his house. He took the littlest bike we own to get the tires aired up. I'm certain Willow will jump on & ride off on it as soon as it's in working order. Judah got on it tonight & tried pedaling! I rarely see him attempt to pedal. Those two may be fighting over that bike!

Scott telecommuted - this was a convenient day for the professionals to see us at home.

We have a lady who is interested in helping here part-time & offered her husband up for the other rest of the time. We are trying to get in touch with Judah's case manager to see if we can split up the time between 2 people.

Sebastian's dinosaur play date is tomorrow. Tonight I'm cutting out dinosaur footprints to put on the stairs leading up to the front door & beyond! This will be at Gramma & Papa's.

Judah looked as if something wonderful had popped into his head. He suddenly chased after Sebastian, who was walking to their bedroom. "Wait!!!" Judah shouted as he reached out in Sebastian's direction. Sebastian was getting ready to change shirts. I whispered to him, "I'll bring you a shirt, just go!" Judah grabbed Sebastian's hand & pulled him outside, all the way down to the slide! He wanted to slide with him! And so they did, & they had an awesome time. Sebastian suggested they blow bubbles, so I retrieved them from the garage. Willow was there too. We ended up outside for a long time. Sebastian dumped out sand from the sandbox while Judah sat in it, pouring sand all over himself as if he were taking a shower. Willow was in the swing - her new favorite thing. She went high on that thing tonight with Papa!! She had to have a sparkly, purple, bowed headband on today before she would go outside, haha.

After we went in, Sebastian finished getting all of the sand out of the sandbox. That sand had been in there for over 5 years!! Later the kids helped Papa fill it with fresh sand.

Everyone took a bath after being outside. Judah put his car out so Willow could pour water on it while they were in the tub. They did this over & over. He was so engaged!

We are wondering if the sleep med (Tryptophan) is actually working in reverse. He gets so excited before bed, I mean hyper! Tonight he was chasing Sebastian around, while Sebastian pulled his train along the floor, doing a sort of march (knees up!) jog. Last night he was even more energized (he had 2 pills that night - he had only one tonight).

Judah has been wetting the bed a lot. He just seems to flood through the night lately. Last night it was really bad, all the way through the fitted sheet, the thick mattress cover & onto the mattress. It's never been that bad. We changed him (his clothes) once in the middle of the night & again in the morning. Tonight we gave him nothing to drink after 6:30pm. The other day he peed while we were in the van.. that went all the way through to his car seat! He isn't drinking more than usual. We aren't sure what is going on. ??

Judah had 1 tablespoon (one dose) of the doctor prescribed L-carnitine. He had 2 doses of Docusate Sodium, 2000 i.u. vitamin d, three tablets 125 mg folinic acid with b-12, no fish oil (we're out) and no probiotic or nose drops (waiting to do lab). He had 1 dose of Miralax. He had no bowel movements. He took the  sleep supplement - 500 mg Tryptophan, before bed. He was hyper after that. He also took 1/2 a pill of Bethanechol in the morn & the other 1/2 in the afternoon. He takes 25 mg total (one pill).

B-12 shot given.
